One Last Bounce

They both bounced over to the cliff, by standing at the bottom they both bounce as high as they could.  Smack! Straight into the side of the cliff nowhere near the top. Hurt and bruised, they kept trying, again and again.  Every time they hit the side of the cliff, until they ran out of bounce and puff.  Bounce Munch Munch cried out in pain, “I’m bruised, hurt and hungry.”  Bounce Bounce Munch paused for a moment, and noticed they were both getting very grey.  “Why have you gone quiet?” asked Bounce Munch Munch.  “Shhh!! I’m thinking,” was the answer.  “Please hurry up, I’m starved and I’ve only got one last bounce,” he cried back.
